Mourning rituals launch at shrine of Imam Reza (AS)

Upon the arrival of the month of Muharram, traditional mourning ceremony has been being held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

The traditional mourning service of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) was in procession at the sanctuary of Sheikh Tabarsi located in the holy shrine of the 8th Shia Imam.

Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Qomi, the head of Islamic Development Organization, and hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Marvi, the custodian of Astan Qods Razavi delivered speech during the ceremony.

The flag of the dome of the holy shrine was changed and turned into black at the end of the ritual.
